Easy Made Christmas Curvy Gift Box

This unusual box is almost as pretty in two halves as it is when assembled. For maximum impact, choose two contrasting or complementary colours for the two halves so that the pattern of the curves stands out.
MATERIALS
Pencil
tracing paper
card (cardboard) or paper for template
metal ruler
thin card (cardboard) in two
different colours
craft knife
cutting mat
glue stick

1 Scale up the template and transfer the pattern to each piece of card (cardboard). Cut out with a craft knife, using the cutting mat to protect your work surface.
2 Score the fold lines with the back of the knife. Both halves of the box are made in the same way: fold each tab in behind the adjacent semicircle to form the sides, and glue.
3 To assemble, interlock the two halves, making sure that each semicircle overlaps on the outside of the box.
TIP
If you want to make a rectangular box, simply double the width of the box base and repeat the semicircular pattern on the long sides.
